| The church was founded in 1800 and has been home to Christians for many
years. We have a diverse congregation originating from far and wide as well
as many local people who's families have been part of the Church for many
years. A friendly welcome at the door and a service that brings Worship to a
more thoughtful level. Music old and new and members of the congregation
assisting the worship in many areas. The membership of the Church has
steadily grown over the past few years and we would like to share the
Christian message with people in the area. We have various study groups, a
choir, drama group and other activities. But first of all experience the
Warm Welcome.
Ealing Green is part of the local Methodist Circuit and United Reformed Church
Cluster which means that we not only have our own minister but we share him
or her
with others and also we get other both full time and lay ministers
performing services. Essentially this means that ideas and experience from
many places are brought to the congregation enriching us all. We have some
Circuit services at different churches where we all meet together. Other
circuit activities include a Sports Day in the summer.
We have enjoyed for the last 7 years as minister the
Rev Dr. Alan Spence however he has now been called to a URC Church in
Northampton and has started work there. During his stay
we have seen the membership of the church grow and also through Alpha Groups
has added to the Church. As Alan came from the URC as a Local Ecumenical
Partnership our next Minister will come from the Methodist tradition and we
have applied under the Stationing Process for Next Year. In the mean time we
have arranged for many visiting ministers to do our services and it is
lovely to see old friends of the Church including Rev Hugh Sheehan who was a
former Ealing Green Minister.
In the interval spiritual life and growth continues and this site will
Publish a John Bunyan Pilgrim's Progress
Blog and also we aim to carry out regular study on Tuesday evenings at
the Church.
Recently members of the Church family visited Zimbabwe on a mission to
see how various projects could be helped. We hope to help with these
projects in a Country that is the home for some of our members but is also a
place where the people need our Prayers. We have also had a trip to
India in November to take a look at a project there. More information will be published
about how we can all help.
On the 7th June 2008 we had our Summer Market between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm to raise money
for 3 Charities, South African BBQ, plus Books, Toys, CD's, Plants, Cakes and much more
as we raised around £1,200.
Between April 20th to 22nd 2007 we saw The
Cradle Song at
Ealing Green Church as our Players got into the Habit of putting on a play
about an order of Dominican Nuns. A Christian play by Christian Players.
